State Parks Benefits

Oregon State Parks Foundation

The Oregon State Parks Foundation is the only statewide non-profit partner of the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department dedicated to raising funds that will enhance and preserve the experience of using the 255 Oregon State Parks, now and for generations to come. Since 1995, the Foundation has supported many vital projects such as restoring Vista House at Crown Point, helping to renovate five Oregon Lighthouses, preserving the Kam Wah Chung & Co Museum, and putting the first yurts in State Parks anywhere in the country.

The Oregon State Parks Foundation strives to enrich the Oregon State Park visitor experience through increased environment education, access, and healthy activities in Oregon’s State Parks.

Car-Sharing Partnerships

Along with our partners, we have helped increase access to Oregon State Parks by providing Day-Use Parking Permits for 325 ZipCar vehicles. Each car is supplied with Oregon State Parks guides (in glove boxes) and State Parks Day-Use Parking Permits.

Want to get out to a State Park but don’t have access to a vehicle? No problem. Now you can use ZipCar to get to your favorite Oregon State Park – without having to pay a day-use parking fee!

Big thanks to ZipCar for their commitment to increasing access to Oregon State Parks!
